Bedtime Yoga Workshop

Sunday, January 29th, 2023

10am - 1pm MST

Summary of the Workshop:

Join Master Trainer Rachel Cadrin for a beautiful morning of cultivating and creating an attainable practice for a better, deeper sleep.

Sleep is essential for healthy function on the mental, physical and emotional levels. Life can get hectic, and- as a result- we often don’t get the rest we (so desperately) need. This lack of sleep can negatively impact all facets of our lives from mood to parenting ability, and job performance to overall happiness.

In this workshop, you will learn the tools needed to create a healthy sleep routine that is unique to you. We will discuss sleep hygiene and how a sleep hygiene routine can aid in falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer. We will practice breathwork that down-regulates the nervous system to prepare the body for rest. Finally, Rachel will guide you through a yoga practice that will support your body in welcoming sleep while providing valuable tools to help you incorporate breathwork + yoga practice into your nightly sleep hygiene routine.

The workshop will conclude with an enchanting Yoga Nidra session, followed with space + time for questions. Yoga Nidra is a beautiful practice that supports releasing tension from the physical, mental, and emotional bodies so that you may drift off into deep restorative sleep— ultimately, making it an ideal tool to enhance your sleep and create an effective nightly routine.

Meet Your Host:

Rachel has always been passionate about movement. Growing up, she was a competitive dancer and track and field athlete. When Rachel was 18, she had her second failed knee surgery that ended her dance and track and field career. She was suggested to try yoga as a part of physical rehabilitation. From the first moment her feet hit the mat, she fell in love. The movement, the breathwork, the stillness, it was all exactly what she needed. Yoga brought Rachel home to more than just her body, it reconnected her with her soul. She knew in her soul that needed to share what she felt at that moment with as many people as possible, and so she began her yoga education and has yet to stop.

Rachel is a 500-hour YACEP, 200-hour E-RYT and a Buti Yoga Master Trainer. She is certified in Yoga Nidra, individual yoga nidra, trauma informed yoga psychology, barre, Ayurveda, DEEP, HotCore, Sculpt, Buti Yoga, Bands, and pre and post-natal yoga. She is a Merge Level II Practitioner, a training that specializes in fascia and functional movement, and has been teaching movement for 11 years. She also has her Masters in counseling psychology and art therapy. Rachel is passionate about yoga and ensuring that everyone finds the yoga practice that aligns with their body and their specific needs.
